Suppose if thats the way you want to interpret whats been posted, you are making it up.

no one blaming Davey for Saturdays result but...

End of the day he was put in charge of our first seasons in the championship after Richie, and probably had the biggest budget. So I would say our current predicament is partly down to him and also the board for giving him the job. Those first couple of years in the championship were very important to establish ourselves. Davey failed to do that.

1 million on Hume could have been used to strengthen the whole squad
250k on some striker he dedided he didn't like and played about twice
400k on some guy from peru who no one saw play
50k for Duane mattis - did he play after that terrible debut

How much did we pay for the polish guys - although one was quite good

    sure there is more

Cash Hill can only dream of was just wasted

well to be honest, the reason we haven;t got any money now is due to Davey. Patrick Cryne only had so much and gave it all to Davey by the looks of it just for us to battle against relegation. Hume, Mostto, Marciano Van Homoet, Andy Johnson (wages), Kayode Odejayi, Dwayne Mattis and Kim Christensen all cost more money then we should have paid for them. Istvan Ferenczi and Peter Rajczi I feel, were two good forwards but the rest was a big waste.
Robins wasted money on wages as well. Harewood was one of the highest paid players at the club when he joined on loan, McShane was on nearly £12,000 a week and O'Connor was on £20,000 a week (£10,000 a week coming out of Cryne's back pocket). Sir Keef knows what he's doing and without him, we would have gone down last year.

Hill has a very good squad we are just lacking in midfield and defence its up to Hill has to plug the gaps. You can't go blaming the past we have known all summer what areas needed improving.

Maybe some people are looking at the bigger picture as to why we have no money and struggle to stay up every year. instead of just blaming Hill

without the past, those gaps may be much easier to plug an with better players.

I wish Hill had just gone out over the summer and got loads of free crap defenders in from the lowers leagues instead of waiting for a decent affordable one. Then im sure no one would have been moaning

Why do most people tend to overlook how much money Simon Davey probably generated through our cup run, yes he spent a bit of money on Hume etc, and then never saw the best of him due to a certain Mr lovely person* Morgan, but to then blame our current predicament on him is far fetched, correct me if im wrong we have had two managers since, and imagine our wage bill increased massively following MR arriving with all his loan signings, now its been decreased because the club want to try and get in line with the fair play rules and Patrick Cryne rightly doesnt want to pump in his own money for no return anymore.

If Davey wasn't there then someone else would have spent the money that was available all managers waste money on bad buys. Davey never got us relegated so job done in my opinion he just failed to improve the results but did improve the squad.

As for the defence I agree with you about noy buying average players that won't improve the squad but fans will moan either way.

I just feel that when Davey took over and kept us up - that was Job done as far as keeping us up,

From then on his job should have been to improve us, not to keep us up. He was given enough cash to enable us to progress, he failed

i would suggest we generated a dam sight more money through a promotion season, a season in the prem and a playoff season in 2000, but yet we still ended up in administration, imo the troubles started long b4 even davey

So Robins is the only manager to win more than he lost. Those stats really do show how bad Hill is doing.

From what I remember we didn't have a single injury under Robins nor did we have to sell a single player.

I think thats because most of our team was loaned, we didnt really have many players to sell, Hammill was the only memorable one that went during MR's tenure.
