Davey's making his usual pre Carling cup speach about taking the competition seriously and he will be picking a strong side. Sounds familar to last season when he said all this about the Newcastle game before putting out a side that had a midfield including McCann and Mattis with Mostto up front on his own!!!!!! Why doesnt he just be honest and say he's going to give his squad players a run out??? I wouldnt have a problem with that So what do U think the side will be??
GK: Steele LB: Kozluk CB: Moore CB: Souza RB: Foster LM: Devaney CM: Hassell CM: Howard RM: Rigters CF: Odejayi CF: Hume
If Davey actually thought about putting the club before his own personal vendettas then Johnson should play to see if he can do it but no doubt it will be Hassell again!!
My team, based on who's available (injuries, suspension, registration) as shown on our official team photo. A chance to rotate the "squad" and save the "best" players for the next league game. We are after all playing against a lower division team, and should play positively 4-4-2 as though we expect to win. GK: Steele RB: Hassell LB: Kozluk CB: Moore CB: Atkinson RM: Devaney LM: erm we haven't got one unless El Haimour makes a miraculous recovery CM: Butterfield (as Davey has high hopes for his love child) CM: Leon CF: Rigters CF: Hume Have a bench of Souza, Howard, Mostto, Potter, Letheren Of course, if I was someone who could separate personal and professional differences, draw a line under previous experiences after dealing with them at the time, and think of the good of the club / team as whole then Johnson and Togwell would come into my thoughts. Then the centre of midfield might not look like butter waiting for a hot knife. However, as I'm not the pudding in charge I expect the team to be almost the same as Saturdays but 3-5-2 / 5-3-2, as it's an away game. Also including some squad rotation. GK: Steele CB: Foster CB: Moore CB: Souza RWBK: Kozluk LWBK: El Haimour (Davey's injury mind games at work) CM: Devaney CM: Hassell CM: Leon CF: Hume CF: Rigters Bench: Mostto, Odejayi, Butterfield, Howard, Atkinson

Steele Foster Moore/Atkinson Souza Kozluk Devaney Hassell Howard Leon Rigters Hume/Macken Subs: Letheren, Moore/Atkinson, Potter, Butterfield, Mostto, Hume/Macken, ODJI Thats what I reckon SD will go with. We are very short of cover in midfield. We look quite thin all round really except CB and CF. Muller, Da Silva, Colace, El Haimour and Coulson to come in and we are still a bit thin for the midfield, particularly wide positions. And where are the left full backs? We have only got Kozluk who can play there. Edit - Forgot to add, Hassell is not a midfielder.
