When all are fit (which will never happen).

    I'd go with:

    Hassell, The Carbonater, Reid, Hecky

To me that looks really good for this level.
That leaves out: Austin, Williams, Tonge, Kay.

Some will prefer Kay in the middle, or a differnt variation at right-back: tough call between Ozzi, Hassell, and Tonge. All of whom have filled the position really well.

Hecks seems a lot better at left-back than young R.Willliams who seems a bit slow at times.
We've really got quite a strong squad at the back. Especially if you also count the lad who's with Scarborough.

That's my best back 4 too

On the midfield I'd always start with Howard.

Both he and Hayes made a real difference yesterday. Both are class.

Hassell's our worst right back in years

Has always looked ten times the player when put at centre half. Other than a few dodgey moments Tongue has been one of our better performers this season and I can't see any reason why he won't keep getting better and better.
Got to go for Kay and Reid at the back on the basis Carbon can't play enough games in a row to form any kind of understanding with anyone

Agree about Howard. Would always start him. He made the difference when he came on at Chesterfield too.

    Howard

It appears that since he's been out of the time that the mid field and especially Devaney have lost their way.

    Best Back Four...

    austin, tonge, reid, hassle.

i would put in heckingbottom but most of us havnt seen him play yet so can only go on being part of a defence that let in 3 against a average club. williams was injured and shouldnt have played against gillingham. but hes a good player.

He probably wasn't fit enough to start, don't forget he's been out with a hamstring injury.

    Austin Kay Reid Heckingbottom

    Two Strong full backs.

We need Kay's pace at the back. Reid and Carbon as combination can easily get caught out by pace.

    RE: Best Back Four...

Personally, I think Williams is absolutely rubbish.

I'd go Austin, Reid, Carbon/Hassell, Heckingbottom

    Shuker Burns Howard Devaney

    Hayes Wright

    Williams is a good Player?

He is the slowest full back in the league. He needs to lose a stone in weight. He is not fit enough to be a professional footballer.

    P.S.

    Who is Hassle?

    He is a good lad.

He started the seaon on fire.

    Robbie

Personal problems led to a loss of form which he has not regained.

He is one of ours and we should support him.

He is in the midst of a major loss of form, not helped by injuries. He can do better and I am sure he knows this, he will be better, we all know that.

Fortunately, there is now competition for his place. and Robbie is going to have to work damn hard to regain it.Paul Heckinbottom is a class act and will not relinquish his place easily.

It is now up to Robbie to get fit, come back refreshed and regain his place.

When he does so, as I sure he will, he will have cause to celebrate.

He is a great lad and Barnsley FC through and through.

He will come through this badpatch.

We need his strengths and team spirit.
