I couldn't muster the enthusiasm to drag my sorry arse 30 or so miles up the M1 last night, after a few poor quality matches.
I regret that decision in part, firstly because I am a barnsley fan and secondly I wanted to see if Lee is actually learning from his seemingly obvious errors in formation and tactics.

When he was appointed he talked about building a stable young team, about exciting forward playing, fast football. About getting us fans off our seats and singing/cheering the lads along.

He picked the same team for 3or4 games, but kept changing the system and tactics.
We stopped playing forward passes seemingly scared incase we conceded, starting to concentrate on not conceding and not attacking to me was the start of this downturn in form.

I would be much happier to see us having a go and losing than sitting back being dull and losing.
Should Lee be given the boot? Should he be given time? He seems dejected to me, whatever the reason is... He has enough players at his disposal to play a steady formation, the reliance on loan players surely can't be in our recruitment policy, if Lee is looking to do something on the phone today, then he has to send some young loan players back as he can only bring in loans and only play 5. If the team is unbalanced then there is no one else to blame only you Lee... You are the head coach, it is your responsibility to coach the team to balance the team, it's your responsibility to pick a system and tactics that suit what you have at your disposal.

I think we have a quality in our squad, I think we have a good level of passion and skill, what we don't seem to have is the mentality to keep swapping and changing systems.

I think you have 2 or 3 more games Lee... Give us exciting passionate football and they might give you more time

The question is, do you think he has the know how to do it. Personally I think he is a technical jargon man and after a few weeks the players think .....

He's a typical modern day manager. Whether it's football, business, manufacturing or whatever, the world is full of them. The ability to produce dossiers, long term visions, spreadsheets etc as well as talk a load of ******** with confidence wins friends and influences people. Also masks the fact that many such people can't actually do their job. Sad but true...:)
