The Tom-tom can give a lot more alternative and quicker routes to Rhthym n Booze and Victoria Wine.

As I posted earlier DT, download a free app called waze.
It is a sat nav, speed camera alert, warns of traffic build up / accidents etc.
    And it's totally FREE :)

I'm getting the feeling DT doesn't want our advice on this. He's hell bent on spending on a gadget (we all like gadgets).

I have an in-car SatNav but I hardly ever use it, I still prefer maps. If I'm unsure I plan my journey in advance and only really use it when I get to the town or city I'm heading and I can't find the street.

    No No NO guys.... sorry

I really do appreciate your advice and wanting to save me cash... but I want to keep one in the car permanent, I use the hudl a good deal. also we have an absolute stack of TESCO points... which £5 doubles to £10... if I get the garmin I will only have to find £3.... and if its the TomTom then just £9.... so the cost is not a worry. Again thanks for wanting save me money, I really am grateful and appreciative.

    absolutely

its just the "End Game" as it were... getting the bulk of the journey is a doddle really.
