You've no idea how much he is going to go for and if he won'y sign, he won't sign. The club rightly have a limit on how much they will pay out.

It's not the clubs fault Butterfield wont sign so why not just wait and see what Hill does in the transfer market before bairning about something that isn't going to happen.

I heard we are after Peyton Manning on a free transfer because he's good with the ball.

So what if he's not going to sign? We get compensation no matter what, don't we? As he's under 24....

He's by far the most creative player at the club, and is capable of better things than Barnsley, accept it and move on.

We'll about £50,000 for him. Just about enough to give the Oakwell bogs a much needed cleaning.

I'm not sure whether you're annoyed at BFC or the tribunal system. If its the former then I can't see what the issue, if its the latter you're prejudging the outcome, although historically smaller clubs have not fared well (see John Bostock)

He wasn't lower league rubbish. You can't polish these kinds of turds, you can only roll them in glitter.

He was Premiership rubbish. You can polish these kinds of turds.

    Scottish Premiership you mean?
Or by the English version, do you feel a handful of sub appearances makes him English Premiership quality?
He was a nobody. As was Perkins, McNulty and Davies.
Keith will do what he has to, within the constraints he is under. I would have thought people would have learnt to judge things over time by now... clearly not

He had more Premiership and European experience than the total of our club combined. There's your answer.

For Poet read Clown. You are just another in the anti- Hill groove, and therefore your view is not worth a hearing.

I have nothing against Keith Hill or his team.

I pay my hard earned cash, just like most others and thus have the right to voice my opinions. My opinion in this matter, is that if we let Butterfield go, it will more than likely be for pocket change, and we'll no doubt, have to raid the lower realms of the football league for a replacement.

I suppose 'flop' was a little harsh. The players that have come in have done reasonably well - but they aren't as good as the players we've lost. Drinkwater, Vaz Te etc.

Could be a season long loan from Prem, doesn`t have to be lower leagues.

How much will Butterfield go for ? If he is out of contract then as he is under 24 it will be set by tribunal I assume. Pretty much out of the club's control.

Can I ask you who you would sign ? Bearing in mind you pay your 'hard earned' it's just that there aren't enough other folk that do.

Interesting choice of word in the following sentence which I agree with. 'and we'll no doubt, have to raid the lower realms of the football league for a replacement'
