BARNSLEY manager Simon Davey will spend the next few days out taking in games and watching players as he looks to strengthen his squad before the transfer window closes next Wednesday evening (January 31). Speaking exclusively to www.barnsleyfc.co.uk, Simon said: "We are hopeful that something can be done this week and we will spend the next few days watching some of our targets in action. "It's a case of planes, trains and automobiles today and tomorrow as we will be all over the country watching some potential signings in action". Who'll be doing the training while they're away? Disgraceful. It'll be more post-it notes telling them what to do I suppose.
RE: Who'll be doing the training while they're away? Disgraceful. Post it notes?
Now who allegedly used those?

It's on the TV! Why are they wasting time and money travelling around the country on paid jaunts when the games on TV? Wasting club funds that could go in wages for new players, disgraceful!
RE: It's on the TV! Why are they wasting time and money travelling Do you think it's better to watch one player for 90 minutes or just get snippets of him on TV? If the club's prepared to spend £100k or whatever they I don't begrudge another £500 to help make sure they make the right decision.
They could get Sky to put him on playercam. That £500 quid could be the difference between him signing or not.Wasting money left, right and centre, disgraceful.
RE: I Would Expect Him At........ Chris Porter? Gord couldn't agree terms with Janet Street-Porter. (a) Player targetted (b) Offer made (c) Selling club reject ridiculous bid (d) Second offer submitted (e) Bid accepted (f) Story put on website to shut fans up (g) Player meets Gord (h) Player never seen at Oakwell again Maybe Gord scares them off with his rugged good looks?
RE: They could get Sky to put him on playercam. But he can get a better look at a particular player being at the game rather than watching on TV, be able to see the movement off the ball etc.
No need for that, all that sort of stuff can be coached into him in the first week or so. That's why they're there isn't it, not going on freebie jaunts all over the country! And what about their carbon footprints, disgraceful.
