    I remember it a few years ago when it was bloody scorching! Gave up after a couple of hours and buggered off to Blackpool for the day.

    possibility of rain LDRed

    Wish they would play that game on Academy pitch. Pitch looks in good condition but don't want that lot sliding all over it. First team today warmed up on training pitches so they wouldn't damage pitch for season.

    Who's "that lot" exactly? You might not have heard of em but they're heroes to the rest of us. But if YOU don't want them on the hallowed turf maybe it should be called off? What is it, your fourth or fifth season berk-brain?

    i waa on about the celebs but really i think the pitch is for Barnsley pro contracted players.

    what next, local sunday league teams playing on it.

    The pitch can be bad enough with out some of that lot on it.

    Would aresnal or chelsea let anyone play on there pitch with less than 21 days left to season opener.

    And whilst im on the topic, Robert Hassell best not play either.
    Hes a Barnsley player, if he wants to play fun games then he shouldnt be getting paid by Barnsley Football club Limited.

    That lot? You mean the club legends. The pitch will be fine as I hardly think it's going to be a grudge match with meaty tackles flying in all over the place.

    Surely any fan of the club wants him plating for first team.

    We arent blessed at full back. We had 2 full backs today. Ones 18 years old ans he seems to think its better to go out for a meal with his mate matt.
