Should have gotten rid of davey before christmas. As much as i hope im proved wrong, i think it will be 3rd season unlucky for davey and barnsley football club!
RE: They've all gone home mate ! nt On the subject of Davey, don't think he'll get the boot this late in the season.
I was planning on bringing my lads from Canada in August for their first trip to Oakwell. I now fear that League 1 football will turn them off BFC for life.
Me. I'm not worried. Not yet anyway. I think with 3 games in hand on Forest and Norwich, it remains entirely in our own hands. The return of Anderson and Teymourian will bolster midfield. We were abysmal today but we've been worse previously, yet still survived. We need something on Tuesday, though, or the worry might start to set in...
I'm worried On the basis that we are 4 wins from safety, and have 4 home games, we have to win them all, and 2 of them are against Wolves and Swansea. Therefore, assuming we don't, we have to pick up points away from home. Honestly can't see where that is going to happen.
It IS Davey, isn't it? It IS. We've got half-decent players - there are quite a few who wouldn't look out of place in better sides than ours. When we get the ball on the ground and try to play through teams (which we did about twice today) then we look good. I presume it's the manager's insistence that we keep hitting it long for our tiny striker. Man next to me summed it up: there are no longer any excuses. The first season, survival was a good achievement - he'd barely got his feet under the table. Last season, the cup run was a plausible (if not convincing) excuse. What excuse is there to fall back on this time? Davey's been backed to the hilt - he's had more to work with than anyone I can think of (I've been going since 1994) - and other managers have been sacked when we're higher up the table than now - Hendrie, Bassett. After today, I can't see when or where it's going to get better. Sack him, please.
