    Bit **** weren't it?

The thing that struck me yesterday was the lack of any sort of nouse/experience - pumping it long to Danny Rose, the 3rd goal where Iain Hart just points one way, we all run over and then plays it the other etc etc.

I don't think we played well first half, just thought Reading were poor. Although Steele did keep us in it from the first minute and then a cracking save.

I really, really struggle to get the monk on wi our team, though, purely because I know we're not as good as everyone else because of our financial policy. But on recent performances Dawson/Wiseman etc really have to do something pre-season. And Keef's got a proper job on finding a Vaz Te, Butterfield and Drinkwater for nowt.

We do have a rebuilding job to do in the Summer and I feel sorry for for Keef considering he was building something before January and then lose those 3 players. His signing since do have to start showing something though or we'll struggle like mad next year. But I said that in July too so you never know.

What was telling was the tactic of hitting long diagnals at Davies all afternoon - seems like there was no confidence with playing the ball through the midfield - and looking at Nathan 'give the ball away' Doyle and Smith its no wonder.

That's the difference between how we played earlier in the season and now - Perkins breaking up play and Drinkwater and Butterfield adding the quality passing and late runs respectively gave us one of the best midfields in the division, that's where we won games in midfield. Now......well, its poor isn't it? None of which I think we can blaim on KH. Unless we sort the midfield out its going to be more of the same until the end of the season I'm afraid, but where are we going to get a quality midfielder from with the budget we have? Not easy.

Got to get Tonge fit and Perkins fit and Jim O'Brien fit if we want to see any improvement in midfield this season. Those three with Done wouldnt be too bad a midfield.
