I think the dropping of Max Watters from the squad, JW back to RWB, Cosgrove now starting more, resting Williams and Cole, starting Pines before he is potentially fully fit and more even behind the scenes decisions are influenced by what's posted on Social Media and a few boos from the crowd. I really hope it isn't but probably is.

    Definitely not.

Williams back to RWB made perfect sense given the new signings.

I don’t think he threw Pines in before he was ready, it was about a month from him signing to him coming on at Fleetwood.

He’s given Watters chances & he’s failed, he's trying to spark a bit of life into him by making him play in the U23’s. Isn’t that just something that most managers would try if a players underperforming?

I've chosen probably but you may be correct and he is just making the decisions that we can see.

If he needed fans on social media to tell him Williams isn't a CB and Watters just isn't good enough, then he wouldn't be the one for us.

Just a thought that may be Watters would gave had more squad or game time to get through his poor form and low confidence if there wasnt such a negative social media out put about Watters.
Maybe we wouldn't have conceeded so against Lincoln if Williams had played in the back 3 in place of McCart.
Maybe Pines would not be injured now if he has sufficient time to get fit and so on.
Not saying that Collins has made these decisions because of social media or crowd noise but there has been sufficient to consider that it could or should play a part.

Can't see it myself, imagine all the rubbish spouted on twitter from folk crying over transfers and constant hammering of players, we'd have a squad of 50 players on Premier league wages.

I’ve been wondering this recently, a lot of coincidences if not.
Of course now he’s fit for travel and international football and the fact he’s allegedly the messiah, Jalo will be in the team Friday.

Surely NC is astute enough to realise that the negativity on social media and in the ground is just as equally weighted with fans who are either positive or neutral about things. The negative are just louder, it's always been thus, not just in football.

It's a firm No from me on the poll.

Disagree personally. I don’t think social media makes a jot of difference to the decisions football managers make. I’d like to think they’re not even looking at it, never mind taking notice of it.

No. I imagine (hope) that a lot of players and coaches don’t entertain any kind of social media comments. Whether that be good or bad.

I think so but only to a minimal level like anyone would be. To the degree of him possibly looking at something again based on what he's seen or heard but I don't think he's weak enough to actually make decisions based on it.

No chance. A manager. especially in football, sees what's happening on the training ground. Knows who's fit, (carrying a knock etc) and who isn't. Knows who isn't performing. Has several back room staff to help with any opinions. All with the 1st team squad, more than likely having played at a professional level.
Why would he listen to fans who may be knowledgeable about what they see, but don't have the information he has. He will, or should, live or die on his own sword so to speak

If he / they are influenced by social media
then they should not be involved in the professional game, simples.

    No, absolutely not.

The only thing what gets influenced is the players by our crowd. Which goes both ways.

Just can’t see it myself, if he is then he wants sacking and replacing.
That said I could see a scenario where he holds a player like Watters back due to the negativity spewed about him.
