Necessary evil or utter waste of space?

    My thoughts - internet voyeurism!

For me, Facebook is a very handy tool. My parents are in Canada, my Sister in Germany and the majority of my friends reside in England while I'm up in Scotland.

Twitter can go f*ck itself though, full of people kissing celebrity arse. Yawn.

The BBS was the original and best social network.

I still like online humour in its many forms - text, videos, general witticisms in online conversation. The BBS was the hub of this once, more so than most rival clubs' forums. The advent of Facebook as almost a custom-made platform for shooting the **** and sharing the fun with your mates, has detracted from the enjoyability of the BBS in my opinion. I know it's a football forum but more than that it's a fans' forum and (particularly when the football's rubbish) it's the banter that makes it worth reading. Much of that aspect has shifted from here to Facebook.
