We had an classic thread going last year if anyone remembers, probably lost in the board revamp. I'll try to dig out the clip of his back heel penalty.

Quality player. Part of the 80s Brazil side that were the best side not to win the WC. Socrates, Eder, Junior, Zico etc al. Turned out for Garforth a few years back IIRC. RIP.

One of the stars of the 1982 world cup Brazil side, my favourite world cup to date. Like Ponty says the best side to not win a world cup. RIP.

Falcao's goal celebration was top, they were a great team to watch, sadly for them they ran into a very good Italian team.

Was it Socrates who Maradonna kicked in the balls , when he got sent off against Brazil?

The best defence in the world v the best attack and sadly the Italians won that day courtesy of a Paulo Rossi hat-trick. It was a fantastic game and one that Brazil should have won if only they'd taken more of their chances.

    Well said, Gaz

Brazil in 1982 and the Dutch in 1974 were the best teams not to have won the World Cup, in my opinion.
