Solar floodlights. Anyone recommend any?

Firstly are they any good? Not wanting them to be on all night just to come on when anyone passes (to light the path down the side of the house) and secondly if they are any good are there any particular nes that are worth getting?

 

I’ve got a couple of these, Eco Wedge Twin Solar Motion Light, neither on a South facing wall work well

Decent, but need to be in direct sunlight… in the winter, they’re not as good and don’t last into the night.. I have done ever ready ones from B&m.

 

Took ours down cos kept going off all night when wildlife triggered them waking the Wife up.

 

Wildlife woke your wife up and triggered floodlights?

 

Unfortunately I don’t think solar power is the answer to the question of what should power my lights in winter.

 

Me neither considering the days are shorter and the sun is weaker. Anyhow. We have them in the backyard and they're 5hi te. You wouldn't want to rely on them. Don't give out enough light. More like cats eyes. You can see them little else.
