Do like they do in the ponty and ban the sale of alcohol. Then the fans who turn up drunk, cant get any drunker and will lessen the risk of them kicking off, if the police decide to stop serving alcohol..............

    SIMPLES!!!!!

Because (pint) + (copper) (NOOO) = (furious) (battered) = staff (hidebehindsofa) .

then lots of (copper) (copper) (copper) (copper) (copper) (copper) (copper) (copper) and resulting in a load of (asshole) (wnkr) (wnkr) (wnkr) (wnkr) (wnkr) (wnkr) (wnkr) man ure fans!!!

Beer flows freely in the East Stand - Never a spot of bother.

And where did the two idiots who ran on the pitch come from?

    The Ponty End. (wnkr) s

there is nothing to suggest anyone was drunk and anyway there is nothing wrong with having a pint, what is needed is to refuse to sell alcohol to those who are pissed or better yet to kick them out

Slightly different occasion - Not a violent or lets stop the game and confirm our tag of inbreds invasion.

You'd really have a hard time getting pissed in the East Stand anyway. Apart from the beer being warm and expensive, the service is that poor, you struggle to get two bottles in at half time.

I'd love someone to explain to me why you can't buy alcohol within 15 minutes of kick off (the law apparently) but you can buy it within 2 minutes of the second half starting

If we had a system like they had like at donny, where they had a large number of licensed doormen who are used to dealing with drunks and don't have a problem dealing with them as opposed to event stewards who have never worked in that environment and never had to deal with people who will actually kick of physically if they don't like what is happening, then things like this might have been contained better or even avoided

I'd like someone to explain to me why........

you pay to go to watch a match then miss the first and last 5 mins of each half cos you have to get a pint in. Can't you go a couple of hours without one?
I like a drink as much as most, but aint anyone got any control?

Stop progressing in cup competitions and get relegated.

Then we'll not get any big clubs' supporters in the North Stand. Apart from Leeds, obviously.

well, cant have it both ways....... we either have to continue with the useless muppets we have now, or go back to having stewards who deal with trouble when it arrives........ as it is now all they do when something kicks off is run off to tell a supervisor!!!!!!!! well apart from standing around scratching their heads wondering what to do!

I agree i worked at oakwell for 7 years and in that time it moved from dealing with situations to telling a supervisor if some one even looked at someone else wrong

don't think the club will have a say in the matter

As soon as i heard about it being over the bar ordered to be shut I said they've probably ensured that they'll stop selling alcohol.
Don't care if they do, have a beer in the pub before match if you want (cheaper and better beer), can go the duration of the game without.

Beer sales are not Banned in the ponti end .Regulations state that there has to be a separate place for a bar where over 18's can purchase and drink alcohol .there is not sufficient room on the Ponti end concourse for a bar to be installed to meet these requirements.supporters club and Barnsley Fc have looked into providing a bar in the ponti end but due to the infrastructure of the stand concourse, are unable to provide this facility.

totally agree thought that myself this afternoon but not as a regular thing, because i find the whole thing of bouncres and to some degree the policing of some matches very intimidating and unnessesary, what do you think.
