this is a guy from the land of the DEEH DAAH'S' however put that aside children , watch ... listen... and hopefully learn summat.... BTW his wardrobe manager was JLWBL.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wG6Cgmgn5U however I think my subtle point will be lost on a lot of the play Skoolers on here
Agreed Tomi... however.. the fantastic thing about this version ... is the fact of Joe's age... he could still belt it out and do a top job... if you look at Brian Mays face when Joe is hitting notes you will see total respect and amazement.... can you really see "one direction"... "little Mix" and even "Take that" doing it in their 70's
Re: Agreed Tomi... however.. the fantastic thing about this version ... There's nothing more dispiriting than seeing a cover version which is just a pale imitation of the original. Joe's version of this song was proper different, and more intense. God rest his soul.
Re: Agreed Tomi... however.. the fantastic thing about this version ... On that score, I think it's a crying shame that Karl Wallinger didn't (apparently) derive more benefit from Robbie Williams' cover of Karl's brilliant "She's The One". Karl is a musical genius, and hasn't reaped the reward of the luck that his talent would have justified.
Re: Agreed Tomi... however.. the fantastic thing about this version ... Wow...just discussing Wallinger in the pub last weekend....If he and Mike Scott weren't such control freaks, The Waterboys could have been feckin huge.
