Is trying to get Celebs to retweet "RT to highlight the scum Barnsley fans that chanted about Billysharp10 son? Thanks" https://twitter.com/#!/ScooperleeScott ian Wright has already done so
Seriously, did this happen? I didn't heard anything. If it did, I'm ashamed, but I really don't think it did.
See the other thread on this - no-one in any section of the Barnsley support today appears to have heard anything. Complete rubbish as far as I can see.
I've read the threads.... I'm disturbed that this is reaching the wider networks without any substantiation. Let's be right, we have our fair share of ********* fans, but I don't think we would stoop that low.
He should never have done it in the first place! I know there is history between him and Barnsley fans, but to do this without even substantiating the allegations is stupid.
His details are here by the way Telephone: 01132738833 Mobile: 07735551872 Email: enquiries@coopers-castles.co.uk
Well hopefully everyone uses their common sense and doesn't contact him unless it's in the correct manner cos the last thing we need now is to give fuel for his fire
Re: As bad as it might sound... And probably because of some morons "allegedly"singing horrible songs at Leeds fans on NYE

Barnsley fans and Billy Sharp re-engage in their mutual abuse of each other. Donny fans jump to wrong conclusion. Word spreads. Journalists come on here to get an idea of the feelings of the 'average BFC fan'. Mmm, where could it go wrong? Perhaps the ones who were banging on about it earlier on and keeping the rumours going might have shown a little more restraint. But unfortunately, people do like a little bit of the spotlight and they do like to get on their high horse, even if they are basing their opinions on hearsay. I don't doubt that one or two of our educationally challenged youthful followers to these local away games probably did shout something along those lines. We've all heard sick chants occasionally. Usually we would move seats, if possible, or hope that they soon shut up. But the alleged comments today would have been a step too far and I would have expected the people close by anyone who used their mouth before their brain in this manner to have swiftly told them to shut up, as appears to have been the case. But as people say, don't let the truth get in the way of a good story, particularly when the Daily Mail get the chance to have a go at a) football fans and b) northerners. It should all have been a storm in a teacup, but once something becomes a headline in matters like this the damage is done and we are going to have to live with this for a while. I expect the club to issue a statement and I expect Billy Sharp and Donny Rovers to accept it, because they will understand the truth. They were, after all, at the game, which the Daily Mail journalist wasn't. I don't expect the Daily Mail to care though, because they have already got what they wanted, which is a sensationalist headline to knock the aforementioned parties. It would be sensible for the Supporter's Trust to follow up on the club's statement, but again, their Donny counterparts were at the game and they will know the truth, but I would suggest it is left at that. All that anything else is going to do is dwell on the issue and potentially cause more upset for Billy Sharp and his family. And as for the reporting of Sharp for his celebrations, I suggest that is also left alone too. He's been through a rough time, was getting a load of abuse from us and reacted. He's a professional footballer, getting well paid for being so, and will have come across this type of abuse before (I am referring to the standard abuse, rather than the one or two alleged more serious isolated comments), so he should have known better and I would expect his manager to tell him so. But under the circumstances anything that the club or anyone on here does to bring Sharp's celebrations to the attention of the Football League or FA is just going to make matters worse.
Apparently this is the guy that has set it all off. A Leeds fan than cant take the fact the mighty weeds have had the double done on them by little old Barnsley.
