Basically it's just letter after letter from Barnsley fans

bemoaning Daveys appointment ( apart from one person who wanted him)

But Andrew Lodge in his column hopes , like I do, that Davey proves everybody wrong

 

I hope Davey proves everyone ( and me ) wrong

I hope he's given every opportunity to do so.

I'd think every single Barnsley fan unhappy with the appointment will hope he proves them wrong.

I for one was not happy with the appointment, and on the day announcement I slated the board on here about the decision............... Saying that, Davey will have my support and I hope that he proves me, and probably 75% of Barnsley fans wrong! End of day he is the manager and no matter how much we moan he will be staying.

 

Has there ever been a positive letter?

Isn't it a prerequisite of supporting Barnsley that you hae to complain about everything all the time?

I agree to an extent

PC's talk of experience & ambition after AR's (justifiable IMHO) sacking have come back to haunt him.

But on the other hand if the quality or conditions required by the "experienced" managers (if indeed any suitable applied) were unsustainable then I guess the club had a choice to make. Lets hope that if Davey is the cheap managerial choice it helps pay for the necessary playing staff required for survival - because on the whole success is earned on the pitch not in the dressing room.

Name them? Is there a team with worse financies in this league? Maybe southend, but no one else. i could name a dozen teams in lg1 with bigger financial clout than us.

I believe they were all along the lines of

well done andy ritchie, we owe you a great deal.

you won't see them for a while, the board sacked him and brought in a youth team coach and under 15's bloke

 

played less games though nt nt
