The minutes applause made me proud to be a tarn supporter, although I did find it odd that a handful of older gentlemen in the West Upper, just in front of me, chose not to join in. But each to their own.
The lads seemed to play much better afterwards, too. And considering the lack of numbers at Oakwell I am still amazed at the support given to Keith. Does he deserve it? I'm not sure anymore, and my own faith in him is fading fast, and that hurts to admit. I really thought he was perfect for us, but I didn't realise he would ostracize our club legend, and overlook our talented players in favour of habitual failures. Blind spot, ego, who knows? But he's on borrowed time now, surely?
    .
I went for my half time smoke, and ended up chatting to a couple of lads about the game, and we were joined by none other than John Dennis. I admit I was in awe of him initially, but he just seemed a normal bloke and wanted to hear our thoughts as well as sharing his own. And his opinions were spot on.
He referred to similarities with Spackman, and felt that Hill was out of his depth. His most memorable line was "having two centre halves who can neither head nor tackle, is quite detrimental.. and you do wonder what it will take for him to drop his 'captain'.."
One of the other lads asked his thoughts on a takeover, and John called it pie in the sky. But he did seem, after 10 minutes of chat, to believe that we have the quality to prosper on and off the field, but that perhaps there are people holding us back, for fear of their own futures. He wouldn't say more, and wandered off saying "chins up, lads"
    .
I then went for a slash in the amazing bogs, and he was there too. I have to say I found it quite surreal to be taking a piss at the side of our former owner. The fact he pissed all over my shoes just added to it... (that didn't happen, he had a good aim for a big lad).
    .
I don't think Keith will get sacked yet, but I'm reminded of Spackman again. As in, I can us getting to the 15th of next month without any points, and if we were to lose against Wednesday I reckon the fans would finally turn on him.

There is a saying that silence is golden. In life there is a time that it is better not to say anything at all. Our Keith needs to take heed of that He sometimes talks that much ***** he would be better saying nothing at all. Only facts not fiction. Still thik he will tumble to fact that his defence is Crap and he needs new faces in it
