Some people can't point Yorkshire out on a map

    FFS .... Some Bloke on BBC News channel just claimed "Some people can't point Yorkshire out on a map" but TDF will put Yorkshire on the map... How so? surely everyone knows a county with the two famous "Champions of Europe" and "Massive" football clubs? Everyone know that they put Yorkshire on the map.

    I blame Satnav.

    People could be anywhere, and wouldn't care... as long as Satnav does it for them.

    I once had a student on work placement call in to say he couldn't get in to work, because his girlfriend's Satnav had broken, and he didn't know how to get to the M1. He lived in Leeds!!!

    They can't point to it on a map but the TdF will put Yorkshire on the map.

    Maybe that's why they can't point to it, it's not on maps, we need TdF to put it on there!

    I'm not surprised in the least - some peoples geographical knowledge of their own country is quite appalling and embarrassing.
