Some people on here need to get a grip

keith openly said last night night we would introduce some new players and give others a rest with one eye on coventry.

For the record i enjoyed last nights game 100% more than the pompey game which we won.

First half i thought we played some great stuff.

People are like keith says - massively over reacting to some performances.

Look at the positives from last nights game:

Done was fantastic first half and is really starting to look a good buy. He could be excellent next year. Look at JOB with a season under his belt.

Dagnall did well. Ive been disappointed with him but hes starting to get up to speed. Big jump for him. Hes hard as nails, never shirks a tackle and gets stuck in. Dont think hel score a hat full of goals but he will cause problems for teams. Again - he needs time to get used to the championship.

Digby - What a game he had for his first start. And hes only 17 aint he?? If the oakwell hierarchy have learnt anything from the butterfield incident we should be getting players like Digby on long contracts NOW!!!!!!!! Players like him are our future - and on last nights performances he will be pressing for first team next season.

Cotts did well and caused em problems.

Goldbourne did well when he came on. looks mobile and again he will get better and better with experience.

Bad points for me but i wont harp on about em were:

Maceveryly - terrible at times and causes more problems than he solves.
Edwards - too slow and too much long ball punts - league 1 standard
Davies - my god his first touch is terrible and hes constantly drifting out to the wing. Stay in the fookin middle man so we have an outlet and do something about your ball control. I like davies but he frustrated the life out of me last night.

Also - when we stopped plaing the ball on the floor and down the wings our threat stopped. We reverted to long balls into the edge of the 18 yard box. Terrible.

Get it down, get in behind em down the flanks and get those crosses in. We also dont drive the ball forward enuff. Are passes are too square and sometimes lack penetration.

Bizzare. Dvaies pilloried but grafted his jacobs off. Dagnall praised when he was awful!

 

I thought Dagnall looked like the player he is - two divisions above his level of ability.
