Just did not contribute. Jennings - I have no idea what that performance was. Nyatanga got away with giving the ball to their attackers time after time. Just clear it. and Hourihane - just learn to tackle. It's pathetic for a professional footballer. He goes in half hearted, with half a mind on withdrawing his foot in case the other player gets there. He had a clear 1 on one with the keeper, but he bottled the tackle that was 60-40 in his favour. Powder puff. Felt sorry for Big George - won his fair share of balls in the air, but no-one anywhere near him to pick up the knock downs. A word on George Smith - not ready in my opinion. I don't want to have a pop at him, he's done nothing massively wrong, but I fear that it's too much too soon for him. Mvoto my best of a bad bunch today.
This is the biggest part of the problem in my opinion. We have a small squad, injuries and too many players who don't seem to give a ****. It doesn't leave Danny with a plethora of options.
And who has assembled these non-**** givers? Although I fear they do give a ****. Many will just not turn out to be good enough, even if ever assembed into a settled team with a settled pattern of play.
Sorry to keep picking on you Mario but I don't agree with your point, we have a squad of 25 players which is not a small squad, injuries and loans fair enough But at the start of the season we were told we weren't going to have many loanees so whats all that about? Owner or Manager to blame I don't know but something is definitely wrong.
Don't worry about it, it's all about opinions. Like you say our squad isn't small when all available but we always seem to have key players out or not performing.
Although having preached a need for patience in other threads I do think Jennings has had more than his fair share of patience and flatters to deceive far too often and think he and we would benefit from him moving on
We were never going to get anything out of Jennings from the moment they put the advert for the Yorkshire Pie House up on the big screen. Bet he's down Silver Street right now.
