After the players had gone back in - halfway down St Andrews (?) Road. Dozens of Hudds hooligans waiting by that big car-park on the right. No coppers anywhere. They laid into a small group of tarn fans who were chanting 'we're going ter Cardiff'. One big lad had a go back but was getting a pretty severe beating. Plenty of young kids around too - are these cretins subnormal? Up by the lights and around the Aspley was pretty scary - cars being kicked.

That's what usually happens around the play offs in every division by all accounts. Must be the hysteria/ hype etc?

    Local derbies eh?

There's quite a bit of history between our fans and theirs for years - i suppose it's the locality thing?? Mind you, tonight i don't give a fig, and to rub it in their noses even further, we were actually stood in their end (5,000 strong) in 1979 so boo! :pff

    RE: Local derbies eh?

I was there in 79 but the best thing about tonight is going into the office tomorrow where there are more Udders fans than Reds and stickin' it to em. Can't wait to get to work.
I've not said that for a long time.

Why do people sing outside the ground though

It's only likely to provoke trouble.

I came out quietly, picked out the people who I knew I'd get a reasonable chat with.

The thing is, especially in this dfay and age, no-one should have to keep their head down etc. Don't get me wrong... i'm not naive enough to think that this action is required... but it's just so bloody annoying!

Agreed, and in the main most people cming from ground were fine but you'll always get some knobhead

Mind you I had one in our end at half time who was threatening to kick off with my cause I wouldn't hold his place in the queue! "Yeah no problem....I'll queue for you!"

Sounds like a an absolute knobhead.... Thing is; a lot of these poeple really do poeple their own self-importance and, sadly, they do appear to exude in the discomfort their appearance leads to on occasions (when i say their appearance i do mean 'their' in the text of meaning 20 hyena-types together)

RE: I was at the side of you

Eventually I agreed...he then came back and proceeded to use his bloody mobile phone instead of getting served and when he did get served he was being a bit abusive with the serving staff!
