Everyone's getting the knives out for Davey for something he hasn't even said, and then slating Cryne for stating something we probably all know anyway; that if Barnsley continue to succeed under Davey for the next few years, bigger clubs might come knocking, and Davey might want to test himself at a bigger club! No **** sherlock? Really? I know for a fact that when I took over my first pub there was no way in a million years I thought I was ever going to be there for life, and even now when I'm working at one of the top pubs in the country I know there's always higher to go down the line, yet my commitment to my current job doesn't change, and never will. I'm sure Davey is a very ambitious person, I'd like to think everyone on this board is too. I'd also like to think most people give 110% in the job they do so it leads to something better. Hypothetically Simon Davey firstly fully establishes Barnsley F.C as a championship club, perhaps then achieves promotion, secures our premiership status, and then maybe gets a job like Blackburn, Villa or Everton. This could happen over a 5 year spell, and if it did I'd have no complaints with the job Davey has done for us.
