£500 quid over my limit? Not likely. Haven't used it for months.

    F**king fuming.

Happened to me a while ago too

I got a brand new Mastercard from the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Signed it, and put it in my wallet. The ONLY time I used it was when I signed up for BT Openworld Internet.

3 months later, got a call from RBS Fraud Dept, asking if I was in Thailand the day before! Errr not likely! Or if I'd made any purchases etc from there, again no.

*Someone* had somehow, got hold of my details (and I shred old statements), and spent the equivalent of £700.

RBS credited the money back to me, and claimed it back from the recipients of the money, so I wasn't out of pocket, just amazed that it had happened to me, and a bit shocked too.

I phoned BT and told them that someone is revealing personal details to a 3rd party - they wouldn't have it though. So I cancelled my acct with them, and went elsewhere, I also got a new credit card from the RBS.

Plus, I felt like **** yesterday. All day.
