Sorry mate - I don't get your logic. They are buying them for people who want to go, and because they have been granted the right to help them out in that way.
Many are buying for fans on here who would otherwise have to wait until a general sale, which may not happen.
They are not just buying them "because they can" - they are not planning on papering the front room with them.

if every season ticket holder buys 4 tickets it will leave the numbers short for Centenery S and Ipswich Stubbs. you don't know how many the club are going to siphon off for players, staff etc (unless their seperate) no one even cares who they are selling the extra ticket to
agreed Andy lad. Odd seats are no good to people. I mean you will need one next to your little lad for example. People buying all 4 might mean stubb holders have random odd seats left?
I totally agree with DSLRed. I bought all four of my tickets with the idea in my that the spare one was going to someone on here.
RE: You make it sound as if the staff and players getting tickets is somehow underhand. nt probably a bad choice of words "siphon off" but they are going to take up some of the allocation. there must be 4000 people with ipswich stubbs + another 3000 for centenary members, i just dont want to miss out
Advertisers, private boxes, players, staff, associates...... friends of management, associated businesses etc will all get their tickets put to one side out of the allocation before today, and i bet there's at least a thousand or two seats gone
Andy, 1,500 people max. in the Centenary Society and the majority of those will also be Season Ticket holders, meaning that they will either be entitled to four tickets on production of Special Match Voucher 'B' or 2 tickets on production of their CSMembership Card i.e. it's either/or, NOT both. You can only purchase 2 tickets on a CS Society M embership Card if it is in a different name to that on your Season Ticket, so there won't be 3,000 tickets for CS members.
RE: Advertisers, private boxes, players, staff, associates...... so if every season ticket holder buys four (so not to let them go to waste, obviously) there will be around 4000 tickets left for 7000 it makes sense to buy that extra ticket. (chinny)
Just a thought but..... there is a maximum of 1500 in the centenary society and I know for a fact there was still some spare numbers last week. If you go tomorrow and make your self a member, ( you have to pay so far in advance but dont know how far) you then become entitled to 2 tickets on Monday. You never know, the money you pay up front gets you in the £1000 draw every week and with any luck you could be hiring the streached limo for Wembley. RESULT
RE: Andy, 1,500 people max. in the Centenary Society and the majority of those will i read that, but how on earth are the club going to stop it. i know people who have been give ST holder centemary membership proof to get a ticket. knowing the clubs dinasour ways. i pitty the poor person who has to check this
Yep, non of it makes sense better to know a season ticket holder than actually go to the matches POSSIBLE OUTCOME BFCs own share of tickets (advertisers, Exec Box Holder etc) Season Ticket Holder Mate of a STH (possible stay away fan) Mate of a STH (possible stay away fan) Mate of a STH (possible stay away fan) Centenary Ticket Holder ------------------------------------------ <--- could be cut off point Ipswich Stub Holder Non Season Ticket Oakwell Regular & Glory Fans
RE: Just a thought but..... sorry, who is this post aimed at. i have 4 ipswich stubbs and will queue for two days if i have to, but i still believe members and stubbs may miss out i would rather go even knowing i could only get £25 tickets, as long as i knew i was going to get some
Its aimed at anyone who's clutching at straws and worrying themselves sick they might miss Barnsleys biggest cup game for 96 years. But personally the £1000 I shell out each June on season tickets should make it pretty safe I'll get at least 1 ticket. I'm getting fed up of trying to be helpful and constructive in this boring debate for tickets, and only getting shot down for my trouble so in future I'll keep my thoughts to myself and wish you all good luck and happy queueing.
