Hello everyone, I've not been on the board since the weekend because sadly one of my best friends was killed in a road traffic accident after the Leeds Festival on Friday night. He was only 27 and leaves behind a devastated wife. He was a Burnley fan, and had often visited Oakwell with me to watch games and I found out the news just after we had drawn Burnley in the League Cup. I had been looking forward to another trip to the game with him. The only positive I can take at the moment is what an incredible last month he had, especially seeing his beloved football team play in the top flight for the first time and beat both Man Utd and Everton. Rest In Peace mate.
It's a terrible time, very sorry to hear that Puts all this bleating about the new manager etc into its proper place. All the best mate.
RIP Terrrible tragedy for anybody,Ive lost 2 friends in seperate traffic accidents over the years so know what it means
sorry to hear that. RIP Gave me goose bumps and put a tear in my eye. our thoughts and prayers go out to all grieving.
Words can not express how we feel when we hear news like this. especially when one so young is taken from us. My thoughts are with the family and friends at this time.. RIP.
So sorry to hear that, mate You've certainly put the petty squabbling with regards to a new manager at Barnsley in it's true perspective.
