Someone correct me if I'm wrong

but if wednesday lose tonight and we win tomorrow. Does that mean if wednesday also lose on saturday, no matter what we do, they can't catch us up?

If all that makes sense please tell me whether I'm right or wrong.

 

If they lose tonight and we win tomorrow we'll be 7 points clear of them with 9 to play for, so if they lost on Saturday regardless of what we did they'd be at least 7 points behind with only 6 to play for.
