Why did we completely change the midfield?

Surely Davey only had to replace De Silva.

Instead we effectively swapped 3 players by moving them around.

Didnt make any sense to me.

Hopefully Gavin McCannt has finally convinced Davey he is never the answer in the middle of the park.

The chnages made no sense to me,

Why not just bring in Togwell and leave the rest playing in positions they had been doing reasonably well in?

RE: The chnages made no sense to me,

Bingo, i was wondering why the hell Davey never brought Togwell on to hold the midfield i mean we just done sweet FA in midfield Devaney done balls all, Howard never had the best game JCR ran ran and ran but couldn't cross a ball as long as he has a hole in his arse and McCann pfft *****

Anderson de silva wil probably come straight back in

and he'll go with the same team as we were previously playing with. I'd have thought so anyway.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Was saying the same all game mate. No bite in midfield. They waltzed through it.

McCann is no good in central midfield with Howard

Howard is left sided midfield-McCann can't kick a ball with his right foot so BH has to play out of position-odd strategy-it got better in the second half because Foster was encouraged/allowed to get forward much more and consequently we pushed them onto the back foot a bit more

Johnson should have been brought in on Saturday that way letting Howard get forward more, McCann is ok on the left as he offers a bit more defensive cover especially away from home.

agreed-he doesn't pose a threat going forward but shores up the left hand side allowing Dervish to foray forwards-it might not be a bad idea to try Kozluk at left back and Dervish left midfield since he can actually cross the ball?
