What a prized bell end he is, constantly putting us down. None of the co-commentators for the pigs and pikeys are as negative as him and we are better off than any other South Yorkshire club. Just glad l weren't born when he was wearing a Barnsley shirt.

I thought "telling it how it is" was en vogue on here.

    We've been awful

Didn't he get knobbled by a Wendy player?

Another 'job done' on one of ours.

His partnership with Aylott was a bit special.

I never cease to be amazed at the trivial things some posters on here find to complain about.

Well it sounded the same on player, whether its a Prem team or not if we aren't doing the basics right it needs saying.Absolutely your loss that you din't see Parker and the side he played in, they would have destroyed pretty much any team we have had since.

Complaining about a commentator pulling us down constantly, not BFC.

Fact my arse, by your own admission you never saw Parker and his team play so you base this 'FACT' on what exactly. And yet you go on to state someone who was a great player for us and loved by may fans is a bellend........... unbelievable.

I dont care if he is a legend or not.

FACT: On the Radio he is a complete nob.

He never has a good word for us.

What the **** as being a good playing in past past got to do with whether or not he comes across as a complete bellend on the radio.

Every time someone complains about him being a miserable ******* on the radio, they get shot down by people saying "you can't say that hes a BFC Legend"

BEING A BFC LEGEND DOESN'T AUTOMATICALLY MAKE YOU A GOOD COMMENTATOR/ SUMMARISER

Rubbish I know its all about opinions but when I've heard him and we have played well he's said so and been fullsome in his praise but when he does'nt think we are playing we aren't playing well and I realise this is a no no for some , he actually says what he thinks and if we are crap he says so. God only knows when this you aren't allowed to say anything wrong about the team came in and your'e not a fan or your'e a **** but its getting way out of hand. Face it football is about opinions and it might not always be the same asyour own.

Because the 1997 side are the only one in our history to play in the top flight, so l guess that makes them the best. That's what footballs judged on, the higher up the table you are the better you are. The very top of the pile get crowned the champions.

i was in the executive box with derek for the scunny game last year

top bloke, good laugh too. we asked him why he wasn't as bias as pearson or edwards always were. he just said i tell it like it is, no point lying about it. just fine by me, i don't want the summariser saying it's fantastic, when it clearly isn't.

Give me Derrick Parker over any of the other co-commentators on Radio Sheff

any day of the week. Top player, top bloke, top co-commentator.

If you want propaganda then listen to Keith Hill's post game analysis and believe we were magnificent last week when we lost 2-0 to the bottom of the league. But if you actually want someone telling it like it is, like many of you claim, then listen to Derrick Parker.

parker is employed as 'expert summerizer' on radio dee dar,and thats what he does, you can cant summerize something thats poor as good and visa versa.......he always gives credit where its due, same as he tells it as it is when its poor..........just cause he played for us doesnt mean he has to butter up poor performances.....

True the 97 side did get promoted but, and it's only my opinion, the Clarke and Hunter sides of the early 80's would have also got promoted from that league. All opinions though as both era's gave us a very good team.

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Doesn't pull any punches, and for some reason people don't seem to like that. Always had plenty of time for the guy. If we're playing/have played ***** he doesn't try to find some ridiculous positives from it. I don't think that's negative, just realism. He's also lavish with praise when we deserve it.
