2-0 up, and the inevitable starts to happen. The players start to drift back and defend deeper. Who was on the side screaming at the defence to push up...

Well, both of them, but Mellon mostly.

And they listened which I don't think I've seen all season

Happy fan tonight, how long has this been missing.

I liked the way they subbed Dagnall, (bringing on RNL), but allowing Daggers to get his ovation.
I also liked the way Marlon wanted to come off but had to carry on ... made me chuckle ...

Werent that first time we were 2 up at home this season, but yes at 1-0 we kept pushing for another and didn`t go for holding on.

I commented in another post about micky mellon and our defence.....he doesnt give them a second to start slacking and for me thats what they've been short of.

Thought we handled the 2-0 scoreline very well. We're not good enough to go and push and get 4 or 5 like we've done in previous seasons so it was right settle for the 2-0 without parking the bus. Really liking this 3-5-2 formation and the consistency in selection and formation, long may it continue.

Keeping 2 strikers on then bringing on a 3rd....rather than the usual 11 man Alimo re-enactment for 15 minutes. Shows a mindset which believes we can be positive and close out a game. As a result we never looked under pressure, team closed down Leeds for 90 minutes, really looked like they were working for each other today. For those who didn't go, you missed probably the best atmos and game in 12 months.

Marlon bust a gut from the first minute, held it up well and linked with Daggers. Classic centre forward pairing!
