We can't go on like this, every away game I just think oh well another defeat, shouldn't be like this at all!! Home games we have a chance but only if the opposition don't play really well!! Our defence is so bad it's a shambles. I hate to say it as I really like him but Reid isn't good enough at this level and 2 slow!! We need a really good centre back to play with Kay, someone who wins 95% of headers and will marshall the back four!! Hassall is looking good, still think we need a good left back 2, as Hecky looks unsure, Williams is not a championship player end of!! We need another good player in the middle as well, someone who will put his foot on the ball and can calm things down, Howard is our goal threat, Togwell works ever so hard but can't pass!! McIndoe is great but Disco again is not good enough for the championship - he has been on a dip in form since the start of 2006 if you ask me!! He was amazing in 2005!! Up front, Richards just not good enough for this level, misses two many chances and doesn't win enough headers! Hayes has the abililty if he works harder, same with Nads!! Wright should just be loaned out or released! In need still of a Shipperley type player who can hold the ball up, win headers and finish. The crosses McIndoe put's in are crying out for a header every week!! So I think we need a CB, CM and a CF at least!! Our chairman needs to back Ritchie and vice versa, no more bickering, these next 2 home games are massive then the Leeds away game after!! We need results or we are in massive trouble!! Sort it out NOW, I belive we have 3 weeks to save ourselevs from depression in league 1 again!!! Get Ritchie on a new deal for 2 years, along with Howard, Hayes and Hassall. Leave Nads to prove himself before offering new deal!!
That was going so well and then you went and spoilt it all with this:- "Get Ritchie on a new deal for 2 years, along with Howard, Hayes and Hassall. Leave Nads to prove himself before offering new deal!!"
i think Ritchie is the man 2 take us forward with the right players, the one's above are good enough mixed with other QUALITY!!!
So you think Ritchie's record this season is good enough to warrant a new 2 year contract but you think that Nardiello still has to prove himself, despite the fact that Ritchie won't give him the chance to. Seems odd to me.
Nardiello does still have to prove himself... I, personally, would like to see him played a bit more often but I don't think he's the wonder-kid everyone makes him out to be. If I remember rightly Ritchie has said recently he would like to play him more but he isn't one-hundred percent yet. Granted, he's by far the best striker we have from a technical stand-point but he's bone-idle and doesn't look interested while ever we're on the descendency in a game. Ritchie owes us nothing except his very best efforts and, for the most part this season, that's what he's given us...
Spot on there Fraser. I still think Richie is the man to get us out of the hole, providing he gets some re-inforcements, 'cos the squad ain't up to the job.
What Nads does need is games on the trot like Hayes and Richards got and now what Wright is getting!! Although Wright is just simply awful he has been given games!! This Saturday should see Colgan Austin Kay Hassell Hecky Devaney Howard Togwell McIndoe Richards (if fit) Hayes if not Nadiello SUB GOALIE PLEASE!!!!!!! Going to get caught out soon!! Reid Wroe McParland Hayes/Richards/Wright
RE: Nardiello does still have to prove himself... And it hasn't been good enough, certainly not to warrant a new 2 year contract when there is still 8 months of the current one to run. As far as Nardiello is concerned, I agree he needs the games. He needs to know that like the others, one bad game isn't going to mean his instant dismissal to the reserves.
