Wednesday were awful on saturday. Only Colchester were worse than them at NP and possibly S***thorpe. We hit the post, bar and missed at least 3 sitters. We should have been out of sight at half time and for some reason sat back with 15 minutes to go, encouraging them forward. Then again, they'd done nothing up until then to suggest they were capable of scoring. Dion Burton missed a sitter with minutes to go and Wallwork had a header well saved by Oakes - the first "non-comfortable" save he's made for us. Think it'll be a long season for Wednesday and in Clarke & Tudgay, they have a strikeforce with "4th division cloggers" written all over it.
Too early to tell yet We're playing pretty well at the moment though. Then again, it's no different to how we've done all season - it's just that little things are coming off now when they weren't before and we've stopped conceding joke goals. WBA (a) next week will be a test - a bit tougher than when we put 4 past them up there in the Carling Cup. Can't see us getting anything there tbh. Other than those, I don't see anyone else outstanding so it MAY be possible. Good news is that Ricci Scimeca and Trevor Sinclair are back in training and theres much talk about a certain Mr Earnshaw coming on a season loan. As I said to you when you got off to a flyer and were understandably jubilant, it's a long season - as we found to our cost last year. On a positive note, I can't see us going down!
