diluted within an inch of it's life. Is it just me that feels during the football season you can quite easily see a football match every day on tv. I find it dull and boring. Premier League TV viewing figures drop on Sky and TNT - https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/cwyj7506y5jo
Prem is getting stale. Relegation is pretty much settled before a ball is kicked so when a team runs away at the top there’s only the fight for Europe that’s vaguely interesting. Not surprised it’s missing the drama of survival scraps. Only so many times you can watch Brentford v Wolves with nothing riding on it for either team.
I’ve lost interest in the premier league and that’s one of the many reasons. Totally agree, far too much footy on telly nowadays.
It's why I don't watch Rugby League. That's a load of bo llo cks too. Don't get me started on the Play-Offs in both football and Rugby and Rugby League. Team finishing top in Rugby (either code) don't win the League unless they win the Grand Final. Then there's the Belgian League in football. Winner decided by end of season Play-Offs.
Isn't there going to be something like 215 games on next season? I hardly watch it at all nowadays, but this over saturation could start to impact on interest and maybe, could assist in a soft landing from the crazy spend we see every year.
Yes it was going to be 215. But because Chelsea won the Conference League, meaning even more PL games on a Sunday messing with Sky picks, it will now be more.
I wonder how many have replaced a subscription to sky and others with dodgies. ? They must be losing £millions. In lost revenue.
I posted recently about the FA cup final being a special day and as some pointed out back then it could have been the only live game on that year..
Prem has lost its appeal for me in recent years because every side plays pretty much the same way. It’s boring. I never liked Stoke or Pulis after the boxing day game at Oakwell but they offered a lot to the league by being different. I’m tired of sides getting relegated by losing the ball passing around their own box every week.
