I've just been told that in Australia in 2010 one in every 6,000 people were kidnapped apparently.

Just checked BBC and that includes parental disputes.

What really is amazing is that in sweden one in 1500 people were raped in 2010. Considering that there are much more rapes on females than males and assuming that there is a 50/50 split of males to females doesnt that work out at probably something like one in every 2 or 3 hundred women in sweden were raped?

    Surely some dodgy maths there

If it's 1 in 1500 combined, even if we assume 100% women then that would be 1 in 750 women wouldn't it? So the true figure is somewhere between 1 in 750 and 1 in 1500.

I hope I've got that right... thinking's difficult when you're cuffed to a radiator.

Having not seen your pre-edit post

This doesn't make a lot of sense to me. But glad you've now got the right end of the stick.
