    Mine did exactly the same

I have the W810i. Had to take the battery out and put back in to even switch it on.....but still came on white.

Had to get it replaced by Orange, they said it was dead and that it needed completly resetting (or something)

What network and how long you had it, cause it sounds like a replacement job.

Or take it to the guy on Sheffield Road that unlocks mobiles he might have software to reset it.

They should repair then but you'll probably have to send it off, Orange only replaced mine because I agreed to take out a warranty, robbers.

Try that guy though first before you send it as it might take weeks!

No sorry, but the shops called 'Unlock a phone', or something creative like that.

    Sounds like a damaged erom

A home fix may be possible but is not guaranteed.

    Download the following:
    http://www.kulankendi.com/download/Driver/USBFlashDriver.zip
Create a folder on your desktop and extract the contents of the zip file to it.

    Now download
    http://www.wotanserver.com/WotanClient.exe
Save this file to your desktop also.

Next run WotanClient. Delete the contents of the login and password boxes.
With your phone switched off hold down the 2 and 5 keys on the phone (and do not let go until you've finished the entire procedure) then connect the USB cable to both phone and computer.

The new hardware wizard will start. Still holding 2 and 5 down, direct your PC to install drivers from a chosen location and use the ggsemc.inf file in your new folder on the desktop.

Once drivers are installed click Start in WotanClient.
    The log should read:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    waiting...
    phone found.
    phone found at position 1
    DB2020 detected
    LOADER: OK

    FC ID: 89 7E
    connecting to server
    connection OK
    sending login
    EROM: starting upgrade
    EROM: done
Now disconnect phone and remove battery for a while.
    == FINISHED OK ==
    Duration: 00:04

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now remove your battery for no less than 2 minutes.
Put it back in and cross your fingers.
