It screwed up the sales of Neil Diamonds new cd

it got the best reviews of his career, entered the billboard chart at no 4, then the rootkit issue hit the headlines, Neil was the highest profile artist to be affected, sony recalled the cd's and it dropped to 24 the next week,
ive got a copy and obviously cant play it on the compy, also too much hassle changing it as i bought on line as its not released here till end of Feb

Paul McCartneys new album - whilst not Sony, is heavily copyright protected - won't play in many car CD players, and is difficult to transfer to an Ipod.

Result, most people are downloading it illegally to avoid the hassle.

    Second result, terrible sales.

This anti piracy thing is exploding in their faces.
