That miss will live with him for life - I can't excuse it. But for the rest of the game he gave a lot to the team; he saw a lot of the ball and did OK. I thought so on the day on just watched the re-run and same opinion.

No doubt he'll be driven out now and will join the long list of strikers who regularly comes back to Oakwell to haunt us.

Head up KO, fair play to you son. I for one thank you for your contribution and committment on Sunday.

    Non football fans perspective :

Our lass, no interest in football whatsoever, watched the game on telly like to humour me, says "well, he got you there, so you can't be too harsh on him"

The irrefutable logic of women, grrrrrr.

I thought he had a shocking game even before the miss

kept falling down, ran the ball out of play when he was clean through, the usual Odejayi flicks to no one at all, that header he should have buried. He was involved in most of our attacks, but he invariably ****** them up.

    No, I agree.

He's an honest player and tries his best. Sadly that 'best' will never cut it at our level. He can hold his head up in comparison to the likes of Stan who went MIA at the weekend. The real problem is that Odejayi's miss was really all we had on the day. No other missed chances to moan about - the ONE and ONLY chance we had was gift-wrapped and came with some flowers and a message card that read 'Go on Oddjob....fill yer boo-its, son' It was missed, and whether you love Oddjob or loathe him, two days on it's the ONLY memory I have of the game. Tricky one for him, and all of us, to shake off.

I hope you reminded her that being outside football her opinion on such matters is null and void.

    No you aren't alone

That clip will get played again for years

I've seen far worse misses from much better players, but that will haunt him forever because of the occasion and the impact it could have had.

Neither of their stikers even got into a position like that, to show us whether they would have scored or missed.

The only way KO will come back to haunt us

is if he's murdered and someone buries his corpse under the six yard box in front of the Ponty.

His angry ghost will aimlessly wander the penalty area knocking flick-ons to invisible team mates who are long gone.

    Just like now.

I don't like watching us on telly; normally we are *****. But watching this re-run now I have to give the whole team credit, theyv'e actually done quite well and it looks better than I imagined.

KO is such an easy target for faceless folk to attack from behind the keyboard. He's obviously short on confidence but to put himself around like he did, in a semi, in front of millions ...... fair play (66th min excepted).

Jay - maybe my opinion is softened by the racist abuse he took from the spinless tw@s around me - nobody should have to put up with that. I respect your opinion as always.

    I agree.

People might not think he's good enough, but the goal he scored against Chelsea, paid his transfer fee with interest ... and probably Macken or Nayatanga as well

    Short on confidence?

It was only a matter of weeks ago that he bossed the England Captain and an established top flight defender and scored a good goal to send us to the Semi's.

He might have tried, in fact I'd never accuse him of not trying, but his general play was woeful, compounded by THAT MISS. Add to that the fact he missed at least three gilt edged chances against Southampton that ultimately cost us two points that just might prove crucial come the final reckoning.

Should never have played at this level.

if he'd been prolific throughout the season it just might be forgivable - but it's just another in a long line of missed sitters. having said that i thought he played better than stan. bottom line is most of us on here have known since around october that ko wasn't up to the job but davey has persisted with him more than any other striker. for the rest of the season i still belive the best pairing we have is macken and nards ( a pairing that was blossoming nicely until the anfield game came along ).

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

You'd have to be heartless not to feel sorry for him, but that still doesn't hide the fact that he's proved time and again he's not up to it at this level. Except once.

    Come on mate

The flicks to no-one at all were because Ferenczi just stood and watched them. If we had a striker with anticpation good movement alongside him on sunday we would be in the FA Cup final

You'd need to be psychic to pick up his flick-ons, they just go in random directions, he's got no idea where the ball's going it just bounces off his head.

i think windy should donate KO one of his mugs

make him feel a bit better, seen as its only cup he'll ever lift.

might even fall over once hes got it.

    I doubt that

Ferenczi did nowt. Absolutely nothing. He went completely missing. On the other hand Odejayi was right in the heart of the game, but he made a mess of just about everything. I can understand why people might feel sorry for him, but that doesn't change the fact the he had a terrible game. Not for the first time.
