looking at our remaining fixtures , I just do not see it. Thats not good enough.I have to believe we are down now.Had we beaten or just not lost yesterday then we may have had a positive vibe going into the Palace and Derby games..I reckon thats gone now, and it will be a vibe of desperation.Thats when mistakes get made.Palace are realistically safe, and thus playing with no fear on tuesday. They even have a remote chance of making the Play offs still. They will come for 3 points...I fear the worst come may 3rd at Plymouth
I agree, even 3 points on tuesday wouldn't change my view and i dont see us getting many more from now until may. I just hope some of the big Davey backers can now see what a lot of people have seen for months, he is tactically shocking and is being found out week in week out.
I would say, unless our form shows a drastic improvement on yesterday. We will perhaps beat Nottingham at home and get two draws against Derby and Plymouth the rest of the matches left from the other 7 we will have nothing to come. Final total 45 points and relegation. However, it should be possible to improve performances with the return of the players on suspension and other reasons and of course more commitment from all the team.
They should put you in charge of motivating the players That would do wonders for their self-belief. I think we will stop up. I also think something is badly wrong. I further think it will be sorted in the summer.
we should have been looking at gaining points from forest away 1 point Soton home 3 points blackpool home 3 points palace home 1 point Derby away 1 point Forest home 3 points watford away 1 point plymouth away 1 point a total of 14 on top of our present 40, that I think would seen us safe. I very much doubt we will be now.
RE: They should put you in charge of motivating the players Well the daft lovely person in charge can't do it I wonder if he did his usual trick of not going into the dressing room after a defeat as he is scared about what he might say
sorry Toastie but its just not happening for me aye I know I am a miserable git and allus see the worst, but seriously I just cannot see us getting to the 50 mark let alone past it. And believe me , this time I have tried very hard to be positive. Problem we have now is that the teams around us now are looking at us as their banker to get them 3 points.
Not forgetting Charlton (H) 3 points, Ipswich (H) 1 point and Swansea (H) surely we should have been going for at least a point in this game.
RE: I think 10 points is being optimistic With this bell end in charge and his negative tactics we'll be lucky to win 2 more games.
well I agree with the Charlton game but that was just 2 points maybe Ipswich as they were not good on the day...but I think Swansea are a better side than us...and their fans would have no qualms sending us down.Remember how we stopped them promotion that day In Cardiff.
I nearly agree Except that I don't think he is daft and he is certainly not a lovely person. Other than that I agree - I can't remember a relegation threatened Barnsley team with such decent players in it (except the one that went down from the prem). Most previous relegations have been deserved because we wern't good enough - this time the players ARE good enough but not organised or motivated. And we all know where that buck stops.
thats what I am saying mate...I don't see it...the synopsis of what we shoulda maybe had... as against what has and probably will occur is gonna leave us wayyy short of the safety line.
Hee hee "I have tried very hard to be positive" I hope I'm not around when you are negative! I just hope the players don't think like you, otherwise there is no point in them going on the pitch. You are entitled to your view though. Like I say, I think it will be sorted in the summer. And I still think we will stop up. By the way, the new name "Toastie" - like it
well I so hope your vision is the final outcome, God knows we do not wanna ever go down from this league again.
RE: thats what I am saying mate...I don't see it...the synopsis of what we shoulda maybe had... It's shaping up like last year when 52 points wasn't enough to stop Leicester going down. We need 4 more wins at least and whilever Davey's in charge we won't get them. Changing manager now is no guarentee of staying up, but at least we'll have tried to do something. Let's at least go down fighting instead of going down with a pathetic whimper like Davey's happy to do.
absolutely...listening to the game yesterday they spoke to their guy pitchside, they asked what reaction was coming from Davey and his staff.Answer, nothing...NOTHING. How the hell can players respond to that .
Well finally we agree on something As I have said many times I don't think we will go down but the truth is none of us knows what will happen. I don't want to see us play in that league again, like you. I will, as ever, look forward to the new season. I have already ordered my season ticket. Anyway got to go and get dressed up now for my outing with you know who.
