and we really should be putting teams like plymouth to bed earlier. oh and diego leon is absolutely garbage, and how mardy was he that he couldn't take the pen
Leon... put the wicked cross in early on that Anderson should have buried, put the freekick in when Anderson hit the bar, put the freekick in when Anderson scored, and won the penalty for the 2nd goal. Like someone else said, I'd take that every week very happily. 2 assists and the only player in the team that created anything.
A routine win if ever I saw one Important three points - and Plymouth hardly had a go at the goals (as far as I remember).
Leon was MOM Awesome. Ok maybe a bit over the top, but "garbage"???? You have to be kidding. By the way, may not agree with you about him, but hope you get a job sorted out soon.
It wasn't flowing football at times, but it was a good win. We kept the ball well at times and created loads of chances. We just lacked that bit of quality in the final 3rd again. Should have been more than 2 goals and we didnt look like concedeing. I thought Leon played ok, he was decent on the ball. Went over and celebrated with JCR when he put it in so he can't have been in much of a mood. Not much to complain about tonight IMO.
I don't think we were awful - far from it. We were effective, in control - even before the sending off - and deserved to win.
I had a spare pair And anyway I only need them for close up stuff. I saw him clearly running the game. Anyway we got 3 points so who cares.
All the best mate I don't agree with you about Diego, but that's just football, and we all have different opinions. Good luck mate!
I thought Leon had a decent game but then again I know nowt me, I've only been watching footy for 40 years. Cureton started well, and looked quite sharp, but then just disappeared, I think we should let him go back to Norwich. Have we signed any decent players on loan this season?
Agreed... 7 more routine wins and we're safe, 12 more and we've an outside sniff of the pay-offs. I'd take the first to be honest.
RE: Leon... this man speaks sense. yes, at times he's a pile of w@nk, but he can create stuff when he wants to, that's what we need.
Leon is frustrating but not garbage As BFCfan4life says He put a cross right onto Anderssons head which he somehow missed put the cross on for the goal got us the penalty and created several other of our chances We have been complaining that the strikers havent got service from midfield - Leon is the only player we have who can provide it. Unfortunately he cant tackle - I could still beat him over 100 metres and he often takes the wrong option. He brings something different just wish he was a bit quicker and more consistent
In 42 years of attending matches at Oakwell I thought I'd heard all the inane comments possible. One yesterday was pretty special though. Early in the second half when we put tgether an absolutely fantastic passing move some guy behind shouts "...tha doing too many passes!!" I think they must have heard him because it was at this point we stopped passing and let Plymouth into the game.
