    Simon Davey, having acquired his first summer signing with the capture of York striker Onome Sodje, has lodged a second bid with Glasgow Rangers for winger Charlie Adam, the Chronicle understands. The Reds have already had a £400,000 bid turned down by the Scottish giants but sources north of the boarder claim the Reds have registered a second bid – believed to be £500,000.
