Why Not Do What Billy Sharp Is Doing?

Sharp cracks on

Posted on:Mon 06 Aug 2007

Billy Sharp says he is unfazed by having to wear strapping to protect his broken hand whilst the injury heals.
The striker wore strapping, and a light cast over the top for extra protection, in Saturday's pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest at Bramall Lane.
He sustained a broken fifth metacarpal to his left hand, just below the little finger, in United's game at Longford Town during the pre-season tour to Ireland.
Billy said: "The referee said it was okay to wear the protective pieces on Saturday.
"I took it off again after the game. What's funny? He's asking why Bruma can't play for 6 weeks due to a broken hand, yet Billy Sharp is still playing. Seems a fair question to me, care to answer it?
sharp cost more therefore is more required than bruma since we have cover for his position and they're just fecking dee dars
Different type/position/severity of break? Different length of time since break? Bruma's a soft lad? Sharp has taken the last available hand protector? Sharp hasn't got Werling trying to stamp on his hand? Davey is a much more caring manager? B Sharp..? "Baby on board, something, something, Bert Ward... Hey this thing writes itself!" - Homer Simpson
