do you think pc was talking about in the chronicle when he said "During my association with the club, ive seen a team lose confindence in a manager and one manager who simply could not handle the pressure of the weight of fan criticism and virtually begged to get out" (chinny) (chinny)
It Wasnt Ritchie For a fact, Ritchie was stabbed inthe back by Shepherd, although i think Ritchie would have failed to keep us up, he had one hand tied round his back
Ritchie was the one who lost the dressing room. You were told at the time, but no, St Andy could do no wrong. Players trained with Davey in the Academy in the afternoons cos AR and RH were not doing their job. A delegation of players went to Shepard to complain about ARs coaching. Again you were told but all you lot did was make personal attacks on the people who got of their arses and went down to the Club to find out what was going wrong.
Didn't he hint at TWO managers? One that lost the confidence of the players and one that couldn't take the pressure. I guess he feels that SD doesn't fall into either camp (which gives some insight as to why he might want to keep him).
So you're saying Shepherd was so stupid that he turned down an approach from Sheff Weds, and many thousands in compensation, when he knew the manager wasn't doing his job and then sacked the manager 6 weeks later paying tens of thousands in compensation? Is that really what you're saying about Shepherd?
I would say that the manager who the team lost confidence in was Thordarson (could be Ritchie but I doubt it) and the manager that couldn't handle the criticism was most certainly Hart.
Hart was the 1 who begged to leave, he also refused to come to a home game and they said he was sick!!
