    Meanwhile, Barnsley are closing in on the double signing of former Tottenham striker Mido and former Sheffield United and Chelsea midfielder Jacob Mellis.

    Both players are free agents and The Star understands they will be at Oakwell this week to discuss potential deals. Mido, aged 29, is due at Oakwell today for a medical, while 21-year-old Mellis - who played 15 games on loan with the Reds in 2011 - is expected later in the week
