Good luck to him. They are doing ok this season so far. Chance for him to learn the management game at a lower level. Championship proved too much for him in the end.
On here he isn't
http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/lincoln-specials/next-permanent-manager

Ladbrokes have Wallace and Gromit at evens. Davey is 9/1... Adolf Hitler has just been installed at 18/1.
Mark Cooper will get a league job soon, posibley northampton if not lincoln. Done a great job at kettering
Mark Cooper, true he's doing a great job at Kettering, they're currently 2nd in the BSP and the aim is league football next year. Can't see any reason he would go to a struggling League 2 team as the teams in the top half the BSP are pretty much equal in quality to those in the bottom half of League 2. He's working at a fully professional club, with a young, rich Chairman he gets on with and a new ground coming in 2 years. Why go and struggle at Lincoln or Northampton who are both skinter than skint. Having said that he is ambitious and if Kettering don't go up this year, I'd expect him to go if a serious offer came in for him next season.
RE: Mark Cooper, Applied for Chesterfield job in the summer and Lincoln job the other week. Chairman at Kettering is apparently very hard to work with.
RE: Mark Cooper, dunno where you're getting your info, but you're well wide of the mark. There is real history/hatred between Kettering and Lincoln stemming from them accusing Kettering fans and asst mgr of racism last year at an FA cup tie, which went to court and got thrown out. Cooper was dragged into it also, so no way he'd be going there, let alone apply for a job to the Chairman who was vociferous in his condemnation of Cooper and Kettering at the time. Kettering's Chairman, Imran Ladak, is certainly a character, but does seem to have a genuinely good relationship with Cooper and there has been nothing locally (I live in Kettering, son has a season ticket, £50! and I go occasionally if I can't make a Barnsley match)) about them not getting on.
Well Good Luck to SD if so He worked his guts out for us and he deserves success, sadly it just didn't quite happen for us.
RE: Mark Cooper, Trust me he applied for it and has shown interest in every league 2 job that has become available over the past 6 months. The chairman at Kettering has very little football knowledge and some of his decisions regarding signings and how the club is run are straining the relationship between himself and the manager. The chairmans has other people in his ear and for some reason listens to them instead of his manager.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/k/kettering_town/8241285.stm
