Yeah, just saw it myself too. Yeah, it's a bit sad in a way, but oh well, there are other things in life besides football... all the best Fozzy, thanks for the memories (Anfield '08 never forget! ) and good luck with whatever you'll end up doing after this.
Yup...We could certainly have done with the Fozzie....of a few seasons ago. But Flicker was right (and this proves it) to get rid. He was also right to try and get rid of Hass and Luke...All three past it, I'm afraid.
Seriously...At the height of their powers we conceded far too many...and you're telling me that with ageing legs we'd be better off? Let's go full hog and get Macca and Futch, back.
But he's still capable...pointless argument. Fozzie has proved he's burnt out, this season...Sadly Hass will prove to be the same if (big if) Danny reinstates him...IMHO.
Like Hemsworth (who's been saying it for years) you'll eventually be right about Hassell. Eventually. I'm taking it you think it's a coincidence that our goals against column, and our points total/league position is the worst it's been in years, as soon as Steele, Foster and Hassell have been removed?
When you say mccourt is capable how do you mean? He looks shagged after 30 seconds and has a top speed of 1.6mph so his legs from a speed and stamina point of view aren't still capable. That said his skill and knowledge is, much like Hassell and Foster. I'd rather have 2 defenders who can read a game and know how to head a ball, tackle and mark than 2 usain bolts who **** up every week and don't know how to mark
