I noticed that they played their first friendly earlier today. As far as I'm aware, they're still in admin. When we were in admin, all apart from our last friendly were cancelled due to us being in admin. How does that one work? Anyway, they could only get a 1-1 draw against Eastleigh so, seeing as they start on -10, they're definitely going to get relegated!
Wasn't it something to do with the takeover still been okayed with us? Southampton haven't been taken over yet have they?
Exactly So surely on even dodgier ground than we were at the time. I seem to remember the bloke doing the admin side of things saying that he was refusing permission for us to play any games as he didn't want to increase the debt for any buyer.

RE: You could be right Last summer - Glossop 2-2 Barnsley. Can't even beat a Non-league team, Davey and Kidd out! We were 2-0 down at h/t in that game too with a decent team on show.
BARNSLEY: Letheren, Van Homoet, Atkinson, Potter, Kozluk, Hassell, Johnson, Togwell, Howard (Leon 45), Butterfield, Adam. davey was not there. maybe 2 there that played most of the season.
Friendlies arent much to go by. We lost to Rotherham last season, and drew with York. Then again i suppose if we'd had a 10 point deduction, we'd have been relegated
barnsley used the game as a bit of a autograth thing. i heard kidd say to moore and a few others. dont get changed look at them.
