I want to go to Southend now but does anyone know what time bus will set off, I finish school at 2.45 and I doubt my mum will let me have afternoon off :-( I've only got science last thing friday nowt important like. /poo
Do you still have attendance officers? I used to sleep til half 12, waiting for the phone call, then go out from half 12 til half 3 and arrive home in time for the parents finshing work. Surely if you can intercept the phone call or letter home all will be well?
Just say its 'Teachers training'day and theres no school knock up a fake letter if worst comes to worst (Y)
The modern age One of the great things with the modern age is that decades from now this thread will still be on archive and you'll be able to trace where it all went wrong right back to that missed science class. When I was a lad we had to try and remember where we screwed our lives up. Or take notes.
That reminds me... You oldies out there, remember when we played Chesterfield in the cup on a mid-week afternoon, something about power cuts, no floodlights? John Manning scored the winner I think. The one and only time I skipped school. Thought I was being clever, when I got to Oakwell there were loads of my mates there, school was half empty. Remember?
