    Your logic is admirable but flawed, Best won the Div 1 title with Man Utd and the European Cup with them, therefore is is a great player, his other failings dissappear because he won trophies.

    You're all wrong.

    Gareth Southgate used to be a professional footballer, got 50 caps for his country and appeared in a Pizza Hut advert. If he says Gazza was good, he must have been.

    On the flipside, he lost two cup finals and 'only' commentates for ITV not Sky, so maybe that counts against him.

    The qualification criteria are so complex, it's no wonder some folk go round contradicting themselves.
