Played well for much of the game yesterday, but he lost his man for the first goal and made a right ballacks up for the second. For me that doesn't make his performance magnificent, which is what the consensus appears to be on here.
I agree , how he got MOTM was bizarre.
He played well and looks happier in the middle , but for the 2nd goal especially .... holy smoke.

I thought he may have been fouled on that 2nd goal. Or am I just a wee bit biased? I think we will see a very good player when he adjusts to our game. He certainly looks a better player than the pair who were playing at CH last season. I think Hassell may find it hard to get back in the side once he's fit.
he likes to knock it about , which is what I want to see.
Foster looks like he can tidy up if need be.
I dont expect to see Reid anywhere near the team unless there are suspensions and injuries.
Still not convince by the system though as our wide defenders dont seem too adept at defending, and when we dropped back into a five we didnt have the players to press in the midfield.
Would prefer 4-4-2 with Nyatanga at left back.
Still a win is a win , and it can only breed confidence.

I agree about Souza - I thought the defence looked fairly solid for most of the game, apart from that mad ten minutes for both their goals. Strong, composed and reasonably settled considering how long they'd been playing together! I don't think those sort of mistakes, or chaotic spells, will happen too often once they've all adjusted. Disagree about Hassell, though - I'm not convinced about Kozluk. I know Bobby's not a wing-back by trade but he's a better defender...
